Requirements for Appointment:
Bachelorโs degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or a degree in Social Sciences with a Postgraduate Diploma in any of the following: Mass Communication, Communication Studies, Public Relations, Journalism, International Relations, or an equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution
Possess strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili
Demonstrate proficiency in information communication technology, including use of internet and intranet services
Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
Duties and Responsibilities: –
Gather information on programmes and significant events, edit stories on topical issues in a specific sectoral area;
Develop public and media relations campaign strategies;
Collaborate with internal teams and maintain open communication with the management;
Edit and update promotional material and publications (brochures, videos, social media posts etc.);
Prepare and distribute press releases;
Organize events and activities;
Track media coverage and follow news and information trends;
Prepare and submit monthly reports; and
Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
