Job Description

Requirements for appointment

Be a Kenyan citizen;
Be a holder of a Diploma in Social Psychology, Psychology and Counseling or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institutioni
Must have at least three (3) years of relevant work experience
Ability to keep confidentiality of clients’ information;
Ability to empathize with clients;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Membership to a relevant professional body and
A Certificate in computer applications

Duties and responsibilities

Developing and implementing policies pertaining to counseling Psychology services;
Planning and coordinating counseling programs in the department;
Conducting both individual and group counseling;
Promoting ethics in the county public service;
Keeping appropriate records including reports for activities undertaken;
Diagnosing and treating various mental, emotional and behavioral disorders;
Guiding and counseling patients, clients and staff on social, psychological or other related health issues and
Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.
