Applicants MUST have the following academic/professional qualifications:

An earned PhD or an equivalent degree qualification in Medical-Surgical Nursing, child Health and pediatric Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, Maternal Neonatal Nursing from a recognized academic institution.
OR

A Master’s degree qualification in Medical-Surgical Nursing, child Health and pediatric Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, Maternal Neonatal Nursing from a recognized academic institution. The Master’s degree shall have an equivalent in Fellowship recognised by the Medical Council of Kenya
A minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points, as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least twenty-four (24) should be in refereed scholarly journals
At least three (3) years research, teaching and clinical experience in the relevant specialty as a lecturer at the University/ research or industry.
Supervision of postgraduate students will be an added advantage
Attracted research or development funds as a Lecturer
Be registered with relevant professional body
