Your Responsibilities

This role includes the following responsibilities.

Lead the strengthening and implementation of MEAL Policies and Processes in the country offices of their purview, improving country office capacities to implement MEAL.
Ensure data management and quality assurance processes are in place to produce consistent, accurate, timely and reliable data for donor reports and internal usage.
Strengthen Evaluation and Research processes through the use of robust and credible methodologies for learning and adaptation of current and future interventions; enable the creation of a vibrant learning culture through cross-sharing of evidence across programs, countries and regions.

About You

You will bring the following experience and skills.

Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Monitoring and Evaluation, Research & Statistics, Information Technology, Data Science or a related area.
Significant proven experience in designing, implementing and adapting MEAL systems in conflict/humanitarian, early recovery and development settings. Experience in all three settings preferred.
Proven and extensive experience in aligning MEAL systems and processes across multiple country programs (i.e., regional or global experience). Experience in the Africa or Asia regions strongly preferred.
In-depth and demonstrable understanding of evaluation and research methodologies and experience in at least one statistical software.
Experience in developing MEAL for at least one of the following sectors: Health and Nutrition, WASH, or Livelihoods.
A positive and engaging personality with proven experience in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, across different contexts, to build consensus around ideas and proposed processes;
A proven track record of moving strategic priorities forward, through a collaborative and iterative process;
Knowledge of, and ability to work with, all departments of an INGO, including finance, business development, communications, operations, risk, and compliance;
Experience in fragile settings that have conflict, post-conflict, or transitional state environments required. Skilled communicator, both verbally and in writing; collaborative and team oriented.
Excellent analytical ability; attention to detail is essential including experience in at least one data analytics software/platform, with a strong preference for PowerBI.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex activities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.
Fluent in English with strong writing abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Willingness and ability to travel to provide support directly to teams, up to 30%.
