Job Description

Key responsibilities:

Learns the ability to start ‘owning’ portions of an installation, break/fix incidents, and problem management during project lifecycle.
Functions jointly with the Implementation Engineering team to meet client requirements.
Action less complex configurations and installations.
Attend to less complex break/fix events during project lifecycle.
Provides support and work alongside with Senior Associate/L2 and other senior support engineers.
Performs any other related task as required.

Knowledge and Attributes:

Basic understanding and appreciation of technical design principles.
Ability to develop an understanding of fundamental project and administration processes.
Displays a strong learning orientation.
Good verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate a client service orientation.
Hands-on proactive in approach.
The ability to work overtime when required.
Some exposure to deployments for less complex tasks.
Knowledge on security concepts and application of those concepts.
Knowledge of cloud services on at least one of the following providers – AWS, Azure, GCP.
Knowledge web service protocols and frameworks for high-availability, low-latency, resiliency, and auto-scaling.
Understanding of Networking Fundamentals
Understanding of Application Design concepts
Understanding project fundamentals which are demonstrated in the execution of installations and other assignments.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
Network Security and other Cybersecurity certifications will be an added advantage

Required experience:

Entry level experience in Security technologies.
Entry Level experience in technical support to clients.
Entry Level experience in handling security incidents end to end.
Entry Level experience in configuring/managing security controls, such as Firewall, SIEM, NAC, IDS/IPS, EDR, NDR, UTM, Proxy, SOAR, Honeypots, and other security tools.
Track record of delivering on-time and on-target.
Track record of taking ownership in projects and incident handling.
