Job Purpose:
Responsible for building spirituality of staff and university students by organizing and leading chapel service, spiritual groups and discipleship programs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee the planning, coordination and execution of Chapel programs and services through all program modes including the acquisition of instrument and equipment’s for the chapel; Developing chapel program content and agenda; Overseeing Chapel announcements; and communication with Preachers and other servants for every day chapel service.
Oversee the activities of religious clubs and bible study groups including planned event by the Christian Unions, external relations of the Christian Union and governing bodies by aligning activities to Wesleyan Arminian Holiness perspective
Oversee the selection and identification of work study students and the sign off of monthly work study activity and performance
Oversee the provision of Pastoral care services to university community including pastoral counselling, guidance, prayers, encouragements, impact discipleship and mentoring; Offer Prayer support to those in crisis and needing the support; execute on demand counselling to students, faculty, and staff
Liaise with other Nazarene religious liaisons and other universities in Kenya to promote spiritual unity through the promotion of consistent ministry outreach to local communities; Involved in community planned mission and events outside the Campus
Lead the development and training of leaders on Spiritual life and discipleship; provide support and advice on overall campus ethos and coordinate activities for spiritual formation and development of students, staff, and faculty
Coordinate the preparation of departmental budget by deciding on the allocation of physical and financial resources; monitor its effective implementation.
Develop the department annual plan and tactical strategies to support the achievement of the overall University plan; Monitor the plan on a scheduled basis
Mentor, coach and supervise subordinate staff.
Provide technical advice and reports to the management when required.

Academic and Professional Requirements:

Master’s degree in Theology, Religion or a related field
Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience.
Ordained minister in the Church of Nazarene
Member of a relevant professional body.
