Job Description
Job Purpose:
Universal RM -Service and Operations Diaspora Banking will be responsible for all operational aspects of the department.
Champion compliance to operations policies and procedures in the department.
Ensure a high customer satisfaction by observing the SLA with the staff processing service requests
Ensure 100% compliance to the Bankโs policies and Procedures
Ensure very strong adherence to AML and KYC policy guidelines
Ensure compliance to the relevant CBK prudential guidelines for new customers
Work closely with Universal RM Onboarding, and Universal RM Back office to ensure smooth running of the branch operations
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership at the department on all operational issues
Ensure 100% compliance to the Bankโs policies and procedures
Ensure submission of accurate and timely Head Office reports
Manage costs within the approved budget
Ensure effective processes of service requests
Ensure compliance to the new CBK prudential guidelines and local by-laws
Ensure full adherence to the AML and KYC policy guidelines
Ensure high staff productivity levels through staff motivation, performance reviews and coaching
Ensure effective performance of snap checks at the department
Always promote the Bankโs corporate image
Manage staff issues effectively, including escalating as appropriate
Champion KYC remediation
Champion FATCA and CRS compliance
Additional Responsibilities
Ensure timely payment of departments service providers
Ensure timely closure of actions and recommendations related to audit, risk, and compliance findings.
Supporting IMT service requests.
In coordination with department head prepares annual branch business plan by determining the key business growth and staffing objectives, efficiency and productivity standards/targets and ensures operating costs are in line with acceptable budget ratios at department level.
Review branch suspense GL accounts.
Review daily operations report and ensure batch proofing.
Supporting BD teams during marketing drives depending with the time difference.
Qualifications
Academic:
Business related degree/diploma from a recognized University
Desired work experience:
Three yearsโ experience in a supervisory operations role
Good understanding of the Corporate and SME business requirements
Knowledge of the Bank operations, risks and their mitigation
Knowledge and understanding of new CBK prudential guidelines
Knowledge and clear understanding of AML and KYC policy guidelines
Good understanding of the Branch performance indicators (KPIs) e.g P&L, Balance sheet
Knowledge of Bankโs customer segments, product types, service channels and tariffs
Computer proficiency
Experience in leading and managing teams
