Job Specification

Implementing policies, frameworks, strategies and plans on partnership and resource mobilization;
Reviewing proposals for resource mobilization;
Facilitating negotiations, development and review of institutional agreements in accordance with the Agency policies;
Ensuring maintenance of comprehensive database of partners, agreements, MoUs for funding in the Agency;
Maintaining local, regional and global strategic alliances and institutional linkages;
Liaising with other internal departments to align partnerships with the mandate of the Agency;
Identifying potential sources of funding from development partners, government, corporate, non-governmental organizations, foundations, and trusts.
Participating in mobilization of resources from the government, private sector, development partners and other sources;
Identifying strategic projects/programs to development partners funding programs;
Guiding and ensuring adherence to terms and conditions set in partnership agreements;
Reporting on disbursement and absorption/utilization of partner funds; and
Generating of requisite reports.

Person Specification

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

Served for a cumulative period of nine (9) years’ work experience three (3) of which should have been in the grade of Senior Partnership and Resource Mobilization Officer or in a comparable position the public or private sector;
Bachelors degree in any of the following field: Finance, Economics, International Development Studies, Business Administration, Business management, International Relations management, Marketing, Communication or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
Membership to a professional body and in good standing where applicable;
Management course lasting not less than four (4) week from a recognized institution;
Fulfill the requirements of Chapter (6) of the Constitution.
Membership to a relevant professional body in good standing where applicable;
Certified qualification in relevant field from a recognized Institution where applicable; and
Proficiency in Computer applications.
