Job Purpose / Executive Summary
Accreditation officers are responsible for managing the accreditation process of universities and specialized degree awarding institutions and academic programmes in these institutions
Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluating proposals on proposed universities and preparing evaluation reports
Coordinating training of peer reviewers
Overseeing organization of inspections
Preparing technical reports; evaluating proposals by institutions seeking to establish satellite campuses
Evaluating proposals by institutions seeking collaboration on university education
Preparing briefs on institutions seeking accreditation and upgrading in university education
Evaluating institutional reports
Maintaining status reports on the evaluation of the academic programmes
Vacancy Requirements:
A minimum of four (4) years relevant work experience Mandatory
Bachelorโs degree in any of the following disciplines: – Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution Mandatory
Membership to relevant professional bodies and in good standing Mandatory
Supervisory Course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution Mandatory
Proficiency in computer applications Mandatory
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya. Mandatory
Communication and reporting skills Mandatory
Analytical skills Mandatory
Interpersonal skill Mandatory
Interpersonal and negotiation skills Mandatory
