How you’ll contribute

The Researcher: Energy Transition will be responsible for

Co-developing research-led strategic communications products focused on the energy transition
Producing clear and concise briefings on a range of topics focusing on relevant issues such as renewables, sustainable finance, energy economics and policy and other technical aspects of the energy transition
Contributing to the in-house knowledge across other disciplines such as climate science, nature, adaptation and the impacts of fossil fuels.
Working with the Senior Researcher: Energy Transition and other colleagues to design strategies for research-led communications interventions, as required.

Our ideal candidate has

Proven experience in a climate and energy research role that is relevant to advocacy or communications work, preferably with a focus on scaling the transition to renewable alternatives
A track record of delivering evidence-driven research products with an impactful outcome within strict time constraints.
Experience of working on energy-relevant development issues, preferably with a focus on developing and emerging economies
Excellent quantitative skills, including statistical analysis of data
A passion for data visualisation and quantitative story telling
Familiarity with the Bloomberg terminal and/or the Bloomberg New Energy Finance database, or an interest in developing financial quantitative research skills
Fluency in written and spoken English, our working language; additional languages are an asset.
A genuine interest in and passion for addressing climate change.

The versatile and adaptable skills necessary to flourish in a fast-paced and wide-ranging work environment and work across time zones using tools such as Zoom, Slack and email (Google Workspace).
