Job purpose

Reports to Head of National Sales. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing regional sales and marketing operations and acting as a liaison between the regional sales depot and head office.

Key Responsibilities:

Achieving set sales targets for the region.
Management of the sales and distribution network at the regional level.
Overseeing the sales team performance and effective controlling of the resources for the region.
Preparation of budget for the region.
Collecting and controlling daily sales revenue.
Monitoring the performance of brands, availability and competitor’s activities in the region.
Conduct daily sales audits through planned customer visit.
Any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Qualifications and Personal Specifications

Bachelors of commerce in marketing or an equivalent from a recognized institution.
Master’s in business administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
A minimum of ten (10) years’ work experience and at least four (4) years in a management role in comparable and relevant position.
A minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in an FMCG environment.
Membership in a relevant professional body in good standing.
Proficiency in standard office computer applications.
Ability to work under pressure.
Demonstrated results in work performance.
Good communication skills.
Valid driving license.
