Qualitative Research Specialist at University of Nairobi

Job Description

Job Purpose:

To recruit study participants and collect qualitative and quantitative data.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operationalize study SOPs on site activation, data extraction, participant recruitment, and data collection
Ensure compliance to study protocol and institutional guidelines
Implement study activities including community engagement, information giving on obtaining informed consent and sample collection
Maintaining accurate records of research procedures, results, and observations
Provide study team with regular feedback on study activities
Participate in regular team calls and meetings
Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Job Specification:

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) with clinical research experience; or
Bachelor’s degree in clinical health sciences with clinical research experience; or
Master’s degree in medical humanities (e.g., sociology, anthropology, health economics); or
Diploma in Health Professions with at least three (3) years’ experience in infectious diseases (HIV, TB) or NCD prevention and care.
