Job Overview
The position serves as Partner Management Specialist who reports to the Associate Deputy Director for the Partner Management Pillar (Grade TBD) within the CDC GHC DGHT Kenya Field Office (CDC Kenya). The position shares oversight responsibilities for the business management and administration of cooperative agreements and has direct responsibility for day-to-day coordination with implementing partners regarding the business, financial and operations management of activities that implement or support the United States Government’s (USG) President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and any other special and central initiative funding support of cooperative agreements in Kenya. Duties and responsibilities include day-to-day partner management and cooperative agreement oversight in compliance with USG regulations and standards for federal awards. The position provides direct support across Pillars within DGHT to the Associate Deputy Director for the Partner Management/COAG Pillar, DGHT to ensure all pillar activities contribute to measurable results that are in accordance with standards for federal award management, Department of Health and Human Services and CDC agency regulations, PEPFAR strategic and programmatic objectives, international ethical guidelines, and standards for public health care. Position reports to the Associate Deputy Director, Partner Management Pillar – C89083.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
The incumbent must possess at least five years of managing business, financial operations of a public health organizations, such as non-governmental, international or governmental entities.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Advanced accounting principles, expertise in management and operations, business and financial systems/controls for different types of public health organizations (faith-based, government, non-governmental, multilateral, etc.) and successful management of federal awards.
Some awareness of PEPFAR financial and budgeting strategic priorities and practices.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or host country equivalent in public administration, business administration, commerce, accounting, management or finance is required.
