About the Role
The Operations Transition Specialist will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the transition of operational processes, systems, and resources across various markets in Africa. This role ensures that all projects/solutions are managed effectively to minimize disruption and maximize efficiency as they transition to operations. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a deep understanding of fintech operations, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex transitions.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage transition projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget;
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regional teams and partners, to ensure smooth transitions. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization;
Analyze and evaluate current operational processes and systems. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness;
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on operations during transitions;
Develop and execute change management plans to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems. Provide training and support to project teams;
Allocate and manage resources effectively to support transition activities. Ensure that teams have the necessary tools and support to succeed;
Track and report on transition progress, performance metrics, and outcomes. Provide regular updates to senior management;
Maintain comprehensive documentation of transition plans, processes, and outcomes. Ensure all relevant information is accessible and up-to-date.
Qualifications
Apply if you have:
At least 7 years of experience in managed operations of large scale IT Applications and Services in multi-national environment;
Excellent understanding of fintech operations and mobile money services;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field;
Proven experience as an Operations Transition Manager or in a similar role within the fintech or banking industry.
