In line with enhancing career progression of staff and to support business growth, we seek to recruit qualified, experienced, self-driven, highly motivated and passionate candidate to fill the position outlined below within the Credit – Debt Recovery unit.
Job Purpose:
Key Functions Support Manager is responsible for the administrative roles at Debt Recovery Unit to ensure smooth running of all activities. He/she will also support the business through supervisory of the collection activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Files review ensuring that the concerned portfolio owners are updating the files in a timely manner as well as ensuring that the collection system is updated accordingly.
Supporting the business to achieve its goals and objectives by using effective, credit practices to achieve strategic objectives.
Review all cases presented for full and final settlement to the relevant approval authorities.
Ensure Compliance to various regulatory bodies.
Liaising with internal/external auditors, other operational risk/compliance managers and regulators where appropriate and ensure compliance with the group policies and other operating procedures.
Ensure timely Statutory returns specifically to CBK through credit administration department.
Ensure fair distribution of work to the service providers is achieved.
Management of external service providers and legal partners assisting in recoveries.
Training and mentoring staff at DRU.
Any other duty as assigned by the Head of DRU
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience
University degree or equivalent
Professional certificate on credit management
Technology savvy: – Able to employ the use of latest communication channels.
with a minimum of 5 yearsโ experience in Credit Department, three (3) of which should be at supervisory level.

Must be very clear and understood during negotiations

Ability to give other options to close cases without hurting customers.
Technical skills
Compliance with legal regulations.
Knowledge of land laws particularly on issuance of legal notices and public sale of collaterals as guided by the law.
Knowledge of consumer protection rights in relation to loan recoveries.
Time management.
Knowledge of the time bounds for the various notices for sale
Attention to detail
Ability to detect errors that lead legal technicalities
Ability to detect errors that can lead to noncompliance.
Ability to review work done by the team for compliance and audit.
Analytical skills
Data analysis for report generations and projections.
Ability to analyze the market for advice to the head of DRU and business.
