Responsibilities

Human Resource Management:

Effectively coordinates actions relative to the administration of human resource activities, e.g., recruitment, placement, promotion, performance appraisal, job classification reviews, separation of staff members, training, ensuring consistency in the application of UN rules and procedures.
Defines conditions of service, duties and responsibilities, and privileges and entitlements under the Staff Rules and Regulations.
Provides support in the implementation of the e-Performance system.
Provides support and coordinate activities related to investigation in rebuttal cases to the Performance Appraisal System.
Provides support and coordinate activities related to the management evaluation and investigation cases.
Provides guidance to programme managers and their designated staff in the utilization of Inspira for staff selection, ensuring compliance with the provisions of the administrative instruction on staff selection system.
Supervises the work of the administrative assistants providing administrative support to the Divisions

Education

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in n human resources management, business or public administration, social sciences, education or related area is required.
A first-level university degree in combination with two (2) years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is desirable.

Work Experience

A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in human resource, management, administration or related area is required.
Experience using Human Resources Management Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) such as Umoja (SAP) or similar, is required.
Experience in developing training material and providing online/in person training on topics relevant to human resources management is required.
Experience in HR analytics, data management and generation of statistical reports for use by senior management is required.
Experience in the implementation and monitoring of HR programmes and advocating for application of best HR practices is desirable.
Two (2) years or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
