Job Description
Job Requirement
For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have: –
i. Served in the grade of senior management or any other relevant and comparable position in the Public Service for a minimum period of five (5) years or a cumulative fifteen (15) years of experience.
ii. A bachelor’s degree in public administration, and Management from a recognized Institution.
iii. A master’s degree in administration, Management or its equivalent.
iv. Hold certificate in Senior Management Course and Leadership Development Program or its equivalent course of not less than four weeks from a reputable institution.
v. A clear understanding of the government procedures as well as the County’s Development goals, policies, laws and priorities.
vi. Shown outstanding professional competence and administrative ability in governance and government systems.
vii. High integrity assurance on matters of confidentiality
viii. Good command of the official corporate language, strong communication and problem-solving skills and ability for multi-tasking.
Meet all standards as per chapter six of the constitution of Kenya.
Job Description
i. Coordinating the day’s Administration duties and logistics in the county.
ii. Ensure efficient management of resources and coordination of county government activities.
iii. Ensure a smooth flow of service provision in the county.
iv. Assist in coordinating County’s and state functions.
v. Overseeing the implementation of county policy.
vi. Charge and safe custody of and being responsible for all chattels, deed records, and other documents belonging to the county, which shall be kept as the county may direct.
vii. Providing guidance on administrative policies and procedures
viii. Ensure the development and implementation of the county’s strategic plan.
ix. Advising the County Secretary / Chief Officers on all Administration matters
x. Attending all relevant meetings.
xi. Preparation and submission of budget estimates for the executive and Administration departments
xii. Coordinating maintenance works in City Hall, the City Hall Annex, and other offices
xiii. Supervision of administrative and personnel matters in the county.
xiv. Ensure the formulation and implementation of the county’s by-law.
xv. Ensure provision of hospitality services to various executive committee meetings, -Courtesy call to the Governor with close assistance of the Deputy Director of Hospitality and office management.
xvi. Ensure proper planning, administration, and management of County transport activities by offering close Assistance to the Director Fleet Management.
xvii. Any other duties as assigned by the County Secretary.
