Job Description

Job Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible for providing academic and character development support/guidance to students.

Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Deputy Principal or any other designated authority, the Biology/Geography teacher shall be:
Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students’ understanding of the subjects including practical sessions.
Preparing and distributing learning material such as notes, assignments, and quizzes.
Sourcing the resources and supplies needed for lessons.
Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning.
Assessment of students, grading assignments and quizzes and assessments in a timely manner.
Invigilating quizzes and final examinations.
Documenting and reporting on students’ progress.
Compiling, reporting and communicating with parents regarding academics, character and general wellbeing of students.
Prepare students for final IGCSE examination.
To provide biblical instructions and discipline to students towards character building.
Any other tasks that may be assigned to them.

Timely registration of each IGCSE student.
Syllabus completion on time.

Timely and successful graduation of each student.
100% compliance to all regulations applicable.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Required

Bachelor of Education. Biology & Geography subject combination.
Must be TSC registered.
Computer proficiency.
At least 2 years’ experience in British curriculum.
ACE training as an added advantage.
