Basic job summary:

The Speech Therapist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication disorders. This role involves developing personalized treatment plans, providing therapy sessions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes

Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments to evaluate speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and goals.
Implement therapy sessions, using evidence-based practices to improve communication skills.
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Educate patients and their families about communication disorders and effective strategies for improvement.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as doctors and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Stay current with research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.

Minimum Academic Qualifications:

Degree or diploma in speech therapy
Experience:

At least 3 years of full-time practice in speech therapy especially with neurodivergent patients.

Competencies and Attributes

Maintain concise, timely, and accurate confidential records of patients.
Able to prioritize patients according to their clinical needs.
