Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

Formulating and developing play/learning material and facilitating play/learning activities that will enable children enjoy living and learning through play in ECDE Centers; develop strategies for mobilizing community education fraternity and other government and non-governmental organizations in ECDE programs and coordinating counseling on children’s rights in the county; organize for workshops, seminars and general meetings for ECDE teachers in their respective sub-counties with the TSC, Ministry of education and stakeholders; formulate and develop ECDE curricula and material in conjunction with KICD and maintaining professional records; coordinating ECDE programs and teachers professional in the county and inducting new teachers

Requirement for appointment

Degree in Early Childhood Development and Education or its equivalent and any other relevant qualifications from a recognized institution
Registered by the Teachers Service Commission
Have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than seven (7) years in a related area within the public service or private Sector three (3) of which should be at supervisory or managerial level
Have demonstrated thorough understanding of National Goals, Policies and Development Objectives including the Kenya Vision 2030, County Integrated Development Plan and County Strategic Plan
Have thorough understanding and respect of the diversity within the County
Satisfy the requirements of the Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya; and
Have a certificate in Computer application from a recognized institution
Possession of a Master’s degree will be an added advantage
