HR Officer at Zetech University
Job Description
S/he will be responsible for offering support in running HR functions, supporting other department and employees with an objective of a positive and impactful employee experience while still keeping in mind the University’s sustainability.
Duties and Responsibilities
The position holder will be responsible for the following, amongst others:
Assisting in job staff planning and participating in budgeting and budget control
Job evaluation and analysis, managing recruitment and selection including new employee onboarding
Participating in talent management including talent review and succession planning
Analysing and monitoring performance of departmental objectives and SWOT
Implementing learning and development programmes
Managing staff performance
Making HR decisions and providing support including sound HR advise to departments, faculty and staff prioritising a positive employee experience
Collecting employee feedback and acting accordingly
Coordinating activities, guiding on and implementing staff disciplinary policy
Managing employee separation
Assisting in planning and implementing employee reward and employee welfare programmes
Payroll preparation and approval
Qualification & Experience
A Bachelor degree in human resource management from a recognized university; A Master’s degree in human resource management is desirable
A Certified Human Resource Professional
Up to date IHRM membership
At least 3 years relevant experience in a University setting is mandatory
Must possess working knowledge of the labour laws
Must possess demonstrable skills of an Employee Experience Champion
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must have good IT skills
