Roles & Responsibilities:

Supervising Production Staff: Directly manage and guide production personnel, including assigning tasks, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues.
Monitoring Production Processes: Oversee the entire production process, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Managing Resources: Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to optimize production flow and minimize waste.
Ensuring Safety: Enforce strict safety guidelines, conduct risk assessments, and promote a safe working environment.
Maintaining Quality Control: Inspect products, address quality issues, and implement measures to improve product quality.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, equipment malfunctions, and other issues that may disrupt the workflow.
Training and Development: Train new employees, provide ongoing coaching, and facilitate skill development among the production team.
Reporting and Communication: Prepare reports on production performance, communicate with upper management, and maintain accurate production records.
Continuous Improvement: Analyze production data, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in steel production
Specific certifications or training related to steel production or quality control may be beneficial
Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with employees, management, and other stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address production challenges and improve processes.
Understanding of steel production processes, equipment, and quality control procedures.
Commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety regulations.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
