Job Description

The Head of HR Shared Services is responsible for designing, developing and setting up HR Shared Services that operationalize an inspiring employee experience by driving simplification, automation, and digitization of the employee life cycle. Responsible for delivery of efficient HR administration processes and services through effective leadership and management of the day-to-day operations of HR services. Drive automation and operational excellence of HR service delivery using Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process management

  • In collaboration with the GM- Human Resources, define strategic and operational direction of HR Shared Services, including defining the operational model, process design and improvement, systems of work and technology, team leadership and talent management, budgets, and vendor selection.
  • Lead the implementation of strategic initiatives designed to ensure long-term process improvement, cost reductions, and increased efficiencies.
  • Develop a framework and roadmap for the transition of work into the Shared Services.
  • Monitor and ensure the delivery of a comprehensive set of performance metrics that are relevant to the HR Shared Services operational model to drive a continuous improvement culture and accountability to stakeholders, in line with the Human Resource Strategy for the Bank.
  • Develop a service delivery dashboard in collaboration with all key stakeholders within the Human Resources function to demonstrate value HRSS brings to the business. Ensure the function has accurate reporting and appropriate analytics to support and enhance management decision making and measuring performance
  • Provide leadership in determining service level agreements, control standards and identifying issue escalation matrix which includes establishing standards and procedures for HRSS.
  • Stay abreast of leading-edge processes and technology across various industries that enhance shared service support. Be a strong advocate for change that improves the HR Service delivery.
  • Drive high quality execution of HR Operations including but not limited to the following; analyze & diagnose problems, maintain test plans; provide daily support to the stakeholders; publish reports, monthly dashboards for client and internal stakeholders.
  • Optimize the capabilities of the HRIS to improve service delivery and ensure effective use of data, trend analysis and reports to inform planning and decision making.
  • Support HRBP’s with employee relations disciplinary sessions and reporting
  • Evaluate departmental records management needs and develop and implement records management standards, policies, and procedures in consultation with the Bank’s Management.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Drive the effective execution of compensation and benefits operational processing.
  • Drive the administration for employee total rewards in line with agreed service level agreements.
  • Oversee the compensation administration and the benefits administration functions to ensure proper benchmarking, research, and market competitiveness on the HR shared services.
  • Ensure compliance with all the necessary statutory regulations and legislations in the various jurisdictions where the Group operates where applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all staff are registered in all applicable benefits schemes.
  • Assess benefits, compensation, and compliance needs in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage local vendor relationships and SLAs to optimize operational effectiveness and employee experience ( Medical, GPA/WIBA/GL, HRIS)

HR Employee Services

  • Drive operational performance and service excellence within the HR Shared Service team and monitor the performance of the team against performance/quality standards defined.
  • Partner with other HR areas to promote education efforts that drive employees and managers to fully utilize available systems and tools as well as support in driving compliance and ensure an exceptional employee experience.
  • Partner effectively with our Centers of Excellence Recruitment, Learning, and Development) managers, employees and HRBPs to ensure HR operational processes meet business needs
  • Work closely with Head of Shared Services, Head of HR and HRBPs to drive the high-performance culture though performance management system.
  • Provide HR advisory support to the GM Shared Services as the Human Resource Business Partner.
